2020 UFO World Cup Finals Canceled
The UFO board has made the decision to cancel our 2020 World Cup Final.
The event was scheduled for Ravenna, Italy, in October. Continuing complications and restrictions on gatherings have made it difficult to schedule any events, and concern for our competitors drove this decision.
It did not make any sense to reschedule it, or move it. The World Cup Final is a big event, and it can't be thrown together at the last minute. And any other host will likely be facing the same problems that our Italian hosts were facing.
The 2021 World Cup Final will be in the USA again, and we plan to return to Europe for our finals-hopefully to Italy-in 2022.
Any UFO events already held this year, and any that are still able to happen will count as qualification towards next year's series and finals, as we stated earlier in the season. Please understand that events still on the schedule this year are still subject to cancelation, if the event host feels they cannot safely hold the event.
For those event hosts who are done with 2020, and feeling hopeful about 2021, you can begin submitting dates for the 2021 season at any time. We will have the 2021 calendar up soon, and we will start putting event dates in to help us avoid each other's weekends.
Sorry for the bad news, hope you are all well.
